Skype announced the new Skype 5.5  Beta version for Windows, It enhances with some new features like Facebook friends in your contact list, Instant messaging with Facebook friends, Easier and smarter call controls. You can connect your Facebook account to Skype by clicking the Facebook Tab beside the Skype home tab.

Facebook acquires  content sharing site drop.io owned by Sam Lessin, a Longtime friend of Facebook chief executive  Mark Zuckerberg, drop.io is a file(drop) exchange site, It allow users to share content privately in various ways. Users could create a drop and can share documents, videos, audio, pictures and other data files. Facebook likes the way drop.io uses to share content and acquired it to use its developer's than its technology to develop the Facebook in drop's way. Facebook said in a statement, " We can confirm that we recently completed a small talent acqisition for drop.io and acquired most of the company's assets. We're thrilled that Sam Lessin will be joining us." And the drop.io said in it's blog post , "  In the coming weeks, we’ll be winding down the  drop.io  service. As of this week, people will no longer be able to create new free drops, but you’ll be able to download content from existing drops until Dec. 15...

Friendship Pages from Facebook helps you and your friend to share the photos, posts, memories, conversations and more. It will help you to keep up with your friend activities instead of missing the friend updates in the Facebook news feed. Friendship Pages contains the public Wall posts and comments between two friends, photos in which both are tagged. One can see a friendship page if friends with one of the people and have permission to view both people's profiles. The Friendship page is really useful for friends who wants to share their activities with closest and dearest friends. A Friendship Page will be accessible if you are friends with one of the people and have permission to view both people's profiles. You can find a Friendship Page from links under relevant Wall posts, under relationship stories, and under the main photo on a friend's profile page.

Skype 5.0 enable you to login with your Facebook account. It enables you to Call/Sms your friends. You can also check your news feeds, update your status, comment on others directly with in Skype. So try the new Skype  to join the fun. This new version of Skype also includes Group Videos(beta), Automatic recovery for dropped calls.

Facebook announced three big improvements to the photos. With these improvements you can upload high resolution images, easy view for uploaded photos and you can upload multiple images simply. The photos size is increased to 2048px from 720px so you can upload high resolution images. You can view photos and albums with new viewer makes it simple and faster to navigate photos. When click on the photo to view, new viewer open the image at the center of the screen with dark background and the navigation will be more faster than previous. The simple uploader allow you to upload multiple images at a time and you can tag multiple photos at a time. These new features will rolled out from the next month.

You can find simplified navigation bar at the left side of your Facebook's home page.  You can find the regularly used News Feed, Messages, Events and Friends links at the top of the side bar, and below of it you can find six links to your Applications, Games and other bookmarks you used often. The remaining apps and bookmarks are dropped to More   Link. You can drag your favorites to top list by clicking 'More' and then edit button. (make sure to click Done button after dragging ) If you con't use an application for 30 days it will moved down to  More  link.

The Facebook Gift Shop  is closing on Aug 01,  Jared Morgenstern  Facebook's product manager for Gifts and Products mentioned in his blog post . You will no longer be able to give new gifts from Gift Shop. The Gifts you have already received and sent  will  remain visible. People can send Gifts from other third party applications    such as   Birthday Cards ,   Hallmark Social Calendar ,   Pieces of Flair   and   someecards .

Getting together with friends, families,co-workers and with other familiar groups is easy with Facebook events.   Devin Naquin   an engineer at Facebook said in his Facebook blog post   that is is very easy to conduct get-together events with the new version of events in Faebook Events.  You can create an Event by choosing create an Event from Events dashboard in the left menu of your Facebook home page. Add the  event details in that box, thats it you are ready to share it with your friends. You can set Private and Public events and can post messages, photos, videos and links to that events wall.
