More simplified navigation for Facebook home page

You can find simplified navigation bar at the left side of your Facebook's home page.  You can find the regularly used News Feed, Messages, Events and Friends links at the top of the side bar, and below of it you can find six links to your Applications, Games and other bookmarks you used often. The remaining apps and bookmarks are dropped to More   Link. You can drag your favorites to top list by clicking 'More' and then edit button. (make sure to click Done button after dragging ) If you con't use an application for 30 days it will moved down to  More  link.

Faster calling with Google Voice on Android and Blackberry

Google Voice (US Only service) launched an enhancement to the   Google Voice mobile app  for  Android and Blackberry phones, which makes placing calls much faster. This ' Direct access number' feature assign a unique phone number to every person you call and uses this number every time you call that person, previously Google voice app had to make a request to the Google Voice server every time you wanted to make a call to send Voice server the number you wanted to dial. But this new application uses direct access number to call, so calls will be made much faster than before. The app is presently available For Android and Blackberry devices only. Google Images presents a nicer way to surf the visual web

Google Image search is about to rolling out with new user interface in next few days. Which will refine our search Visually,  This new interface includes  a new layout on the search page cramming many more images together and stripping away most of the other content on the page with 1000 image results on a single page.  The results will be shown in Large sizes in high resolution screens.  When we mouse over an image it shows a larger preview, about the image and other image related things along with a link to 'similar images'. Once we click on an image, we are taken toa new landing page that displays a large image with the website where the image is hosted. This new interface was designed to work with standard web keyboard shortcuts such as Arrow Marks, Page Up/ Page Down.  And Google also launching a new ad format called Image Search Ads. These ads appear only on Google Images, and they let you include a thumbnail image alongside your lines of text. These new features will be

Google's new search index: Caffeine

Today, Google announced a new web indexing system called Caffeine. The new system will deliver 50%  fresher results for web searches than the previous system. that means you can find latest published content much sooner after it is published, the previous system took two weeks to index newly published things in Google Index. Google fellowship - 2010

Google Fellowship program   to support graduate students was introduced last year for the United States students by Google Research and Special Initiatives , but this year the program extended to Europe, Israel, China and Canada.  The students will receive fellowships consisting of full coverage of tuition, fees and stipend for up to three years. Facebook Gift Shop is closing

The Facebook Gift Shop  is closing on Aug 01,  Jared Morgenstern  Facebook's product manager for Gifts and Products mentioned in his blog post . You will no longer be able to give new gifts from Gift Shop. The Gifts you have already received and sent  will  remain visible. People can send Gifts from other third party applications    such as   Birthday Cards ,   Hallmark Social Calendar ,   Pieces of Flair   and   someecards .

Beware of fake Adobe Flash updates

Bee careful when your browser asked you to update your Adobe Flash player. According to Barracuda Labs  -"some sites offers visitors to update Adobe flash  with an official-looking Adobe Flash update page. Even though this page looks convincing, downloading this ‘update’ only provides the user with a nasty piece of malware that McAfee currently classifies as Downloader-CEW.f." Rich Text in Gmail

Now you can add your own type of signature to your sent mail with this new rich text signature, visit the settings page you'll see a rich text editor in the signature section. Here, you can customize your signature by adding pretty formatting, links, and images — or decide to leave things nice and simple. Gmail also now supports a unique signature for each email address associated with your account. So, if you send mail using a custom "From:" address, you can use a different signature for that address. From the Settings page, you can edit the signature for each account by changing the email address that appears in the dropdown menu.
