Facebook gets drop.io technology

Facebook acquires  content sharing site drop.io owned by Sam Lessin, a Longtime friend of Facebook chief executive  Mark Zuckerberg, drop.io is a file(drop) exchange site, It allow users to share content privately in various ways. Users could create a drop and can share documents, videos, audio, pictures and other data files. Facebook likes the way drop.io uses to share content and acquired it to use its developer's than its technology to develop the Facebook in drop's way. Facebook said in a statement, " We can confirm that we recently completed a small talent acqisition for drop.io and acquired most of the company's assets. We're thrilled that Sam Lessin will be joining us." And the drop.io said in it's blog post , "  In the coming weeks, we’ll be winding down the  drop.io  service. As of this week, people will no longer be able to create new free drops, but you’ll be able to download content from existing drops until Dec. 15. Paid user account

Facebook launches Friendship Pages

Friendship Pages from Facebook helps you and your friend to share the photos, posts, memories, conversations and more. It will help you to keep up with your friend activities instead of missing the friend updates in the Facebook news feed. Friendship Pages contains the public Wall posts and comments between two friends, photos in which both are tagged. One can see a friendship page if friends with one of the people and have permission to view both people's profiles. The Friendship page is really useful for friends who wants to share their activities with closest and dearest friends. A Friendship Page will be accessible if you are friends with one of the people and have permission to view both people's profiles. You can find a Friendship Page from links under relevant Wall posts, under relationship stories, and under the main photo on a friend's profile page.

Movie shotted using Nokia N8

The Commuter is a comedy action film, starring Dev Patel (  Slumdog Millionaire fame ), Pamela Anderson,  directed by the McHenry Brothers .The whole movie is shot using the newly released Nokia N8 in the streets of London and St Albans. Opera v 10.60

And this new version includes JavaScript engine which is 50% faster than the previous v10.50, it supports HTML5 and WebM, It will prompt you to share your location,  making geolocation-supporting websites more useful.

View PDF files in Chrome

Chrome developers integrated PDF viewer within the browser. To get it in your chrome browser just type chrome://plugins in chrome address bar and press enter. It will shows the list of enabled and disabled plugins in that list find the ' Chrome PDF viewer ' and click on the Enable to enable the plugin.

Google invented a new image format WebP  to load images faster than before. This new formate will reduce the byte size of the images to load 35% faster than a normal JPEG formate. Improved Photos in Facebook From November

Facebook announced three big improvements to the photos. With these improvements you can upload high resolution images, easy view for uploaded photos and you can upload multiple images simply. The photos size is increased to 2048px from 720px so you can upload high resolution images. You can view photos and albums with new viewer makes it simple and faster to navigate photos. When click on the photo to view, new viewer open the image at the center of the screen with dark background and the navigation will be more faster than previous. The simple uploader allow you to upload multiple images at a time and you can tag multiple photos at a time. These new features will rolled out from the next month.
